July: The Best And The Rest

Hellooooo everyone! As you can probably tell from the title, this is a hauly-haul post of all the STUFF I've got this month. July has been what you might call The Month of the Charity Shops; everything I've bought bar one shirt and one pair of shoes has been from a charity shop! I've never had clothes from them before - books and DVDs, yes, but no clothes - but now I have discovered this British Heart Foundation in town and I ain't never lookin' back. I am planning on selling my Hollister stuff on Asos - I have moved out of that dark valley of 13-year-old-Hollister-obsession, I'm glad to say. From here on in, charity shops are the way forward! (Kind of.) :D

This is a dress from British Heart Foundation that looks ugly in this picture but is pretty in real life. (Don't ask me what's wrong with my knee. I have no idea O.o)
Look at the very pretty fabric ^_^
And there is a bow in front! :{D (the curly bracket was a mistake, but it looks kinda like a fancy moustache so I thought I'd leave it.)
I LOVE this dress, also from BHF! I've not heard of the shop it's from, but it's very very pretty ^_^
I like the bead detail on the halter ... (don't you love my attractive mole?)
And the fabric - or rather, fabrics - are pretty! :D

This shirt, contrary to the charity shop theme, is from TK Maxx. It is a good basic.
Look at the lace detail!
AND one with the flash on.

Leather jacket from the Christian Mission charity shop. I am aware that in this picture it looks like a bin bag, and I look Decidedly Tubby, but in real life it's pretty snazzy :L

Jumper from BHF - originally from M&S, that really cool label for teenagers ... kidding! I really like this jumper ^_^

THIS, also from BHF, I adore. It was only £4.99!!!! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?! O.o

It's so well made - and look at the beautiful fabric ^_^
Deep Red (Red) Red Lace Up Trainers | 263673662 | New Look
These I got from New Look - they're the one other non-charity-shop buy. They are very prettyful (and a lot brighter than that in real life!)
Couldn't resist getting this from BHF ... it's such a great book.

I hadn't heard of this before I saw it in the Oxfam bookshop, but I was told it's great and the blurb drew me right in. Plus, it has 1006 pages ... right up my street ;)

This was sent to me for review by the lovely Helena Sorensen! My review is coming soon :)

Love you,

  2. Charity shops are the best. Knowing you got a lovely dress that was once £18 at River Island for £3.50 is ridiculously satisfying, you need never shop retain price again :) (except for socks and stuff).

    1. Hahahaha, your little aside at the end made me laugh quite a lot ... buying socks at a charity shop is definitely never advisable. :'D

  3. I was looking at the dress thinking "What's a curly moustache bracket? Is that a fashion term?" I think it's time I went to bed...
