Fashion Tuesd-- hey, wait a minute!

Hello there, my little bloggling friends! I don't know about where you live but in Ayrshire the SUN is shining and it is VERY HOT INDEED! For some of you that may not seem like much, but I live in Britain - in fact, I live in Scotland - and so for the sun to make any appearance is a pretty momentous occasion, and for it to make this sort of appearance is crazy indeed.

The *ahem* view from my window. ...Well, almost. Not quite. I don't have a summer house (is that what you all those things?). Or a stone path. Or such a well-kept lawn. But it is that sunny.
Anyway! So, as I'm sure you know, today is in fact Tuesday and so it should be Fashion Tuesday.

I can tell what you're thinking.

Oh no. She's going to make more excuses. She's going to grin sheepishly and then conclude this post in a lacklustre fashion.

But, dear readers, that is not the case.

You see, I am in a strange predicament: I have no more fashion designs.

Yes, that's right. None left. It's been a long time - a LONG time - since I last put pencil to paper and did a fashion design, and to be honest I don't know if that's really where I'm going any more. I've often wondered where my artistic (which incidentally is a pretentious word, but I can't think of an alternative) life will go - down the writing route or down the art route, and if down the writing route, novels or poetry, and if down the art route, expressive or design, and if down the design route, fashion or textiles? These are a lot of questions to be answered, and I quite clearly do not know the answers, but for the moment at least fashion design has kind of slipped off the agenda. Maybe not forever - maybe I will come back to it, but if I do, it won't be in the format you've seen it in up til now. The book I've used to do my designs is good, but whilst I still believe there's nothing inherently wrong with tracing figures - read a post on that here - it's definitely not a good practice to get into. If I'm going to design clothes, I have to do it all myself - and who knows, maybe I will do so again! Maybe one day you'll log into your computers and Fashion Tuesday will be reborn!

Meanwhile, I will be working on incorporating more memes and hilarious pictures into my posts.
However, friends, Fashion Tuesday is not dead. She's not even dormant. (Yes, she has a gender.) She is in fact....BEING REBORN!

Art Tuesday is the new name of the game, blogglings mine! Basically, each Tuesday (well perhaps not EACH Tuesday, but I try my best!) I will be posting:
~ drawings, paintings, maybe designs etc.
~ the work of artists
~ card tutorials
~ anything else related to art!

It's gonna be a blast, guys! (Maybe. Maybe not. I just couldn't think of a way to end the post.)

OH BY THE WAY GUESS WHAT! 7500 words. Exactly. The plot points are coming in like arrows - arrows, that is, from an aging archer with failing eyesight whose aim wasn't the best when he was in his prime and who is hungover and overthinking the conversation he just had with his girlfriend - but arrows all the same! Love you,

  1. Yay, creative arty stuff! I sense great fun will be arriving in future Tuesdays....

AT LEAST YOUR ARCHER WILL COOPERATE, mine's being particularly difficult; I think the bow is splintered and the arrow heads have fallen off.

    1. Hmm, I'm not getting that sense if I'm honest with you...maybe you should review which clairvoyant you go to...they're notorious for being charlatans dontcha know? ~nods wisely~

My archer was cooperative yesterday but since then he's crawled into a hole and is refusing to come out. Apparently, I have to hit the 10000 mark first. I was like "whoa, who's running this show?!" and he was like "well it's not you for sure; your CHARACTERS control YOU!" and I have to admit he has a good point. Ah well. We will see.
